[Summary]
The word 'Gospel' means a good news. And this was summarized in verse 4. '[Jesus] gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us out of this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father.' And God is the one who raised [Jesus] from the dead (v.1), whom be the glory forever and ever (v.5), and who called [them] by the grace of Christ. This is the gospel which brings peace to those who have faith in Jesus. And this gospel is perfect in a way that there's nothing that we can add (contribute).
If we add something to the gospel, it is the different gospel, which is not a good news (gospel). The type of different gospel was legalism and humanism, and can be prosperity gospel. These different gospels do not give all the glory to God, because they seem to make people contribute the salvation. It is from the desire to control therefore people like and follow this different gospel. How to prevent from following these false gospels is focusing and investigating the true gospel. By knowing more and more about the true gospel, we can distinguish the different gospel which brings curse, not peace.

[Summary]
After resurrection, Jesus stayed on the earth and appeared to his disciples for 40 days so that they can believe his resurrection, which was literally unbelievable. While he was doing that, Jesus, in our passage, came to Peter, who must have been disturbing because of what had happened on the day Jesus was arrested. He would keep thinking about that night, his denial and Jesus' look.
Peter was fishing that night and he got nothing until almost dawn. At that time Jesus came and asked whether he caught anything. They didn't. And Jesus asked them to cast the nets on the right side. Then, they got a lot of fish. It was Jesus. And Jesus was producing the scene when they met first and be called in Luke 5. And the reason is that Jesus was trying to restore Peter. This is God's grace which never stops even though we make mistakes and fail.
Then Jesus gave them bread and fish. He meets their physical needs. Our God provides not only the spiritual things but also provides the physical needs. That's what we can learn.
Also, Jesus asked Peter 'Do you love me?' three times, and gave him another mission. By asking three times, Jesus is giving the 2nd chance so that Peter can be comforted by declare his love to Jesus in front of people. Yet, he relied on Jesus even he answers to Jesus, because he realized that he cannot depend on himself.
And Jesus finally said to Peter 'follow me' which means Jesus still wanted Peter to be his disciples, even after all his failure. This shows us how great God's grace is and I hope this grace compels us to love God more, and make changes in our daily lives.

[Summary]
When Jesus was followed by a huge number of people, he turned to them and said that they should hate their family members and their own lives if they want to be his disciples (v.26). Also, he added that they should carry their cross (v.27) and renounce all their possessions (v.33) in order to be his disciples. And Jesus did not literally mean that they should hate family, take the cross and give up everything. Rather, it is more like about the priority and the lordship in our life. He was teaching how much serious and how much strict their surrender to God should be. And by giving us two examples of calculation (one was building a tower and the other was engaging a war), Jesus was also making a point that surrendering to God is lucrative. However, in order for one to surrender fully, he should sit down and do the math, so that he can fully and totally submit himself to God.
As growing in church, we tend to ignore the fact that we should surrender to God always. It is not a stage one can go through and move on after the justification. Instead, it is a continuous life style of a true believer. Therefore, Christians should think and talk more about surrender than salvation.
This level of surrender is not just for pastors or for some devoted people, but it is for every Christian. So after surrender ourselves and received the justification, we should keep surrendering more aspects of our lives as we grow. And to do that, we need to start obeying the things we know already. We should start spending more time with God on purpose.
