Sermon Passage: Romans 5:1-5 Sermon Title: Hope of Glory Sermon by: Pastor Davy (Youth) Sermon Summary: When you are in a rough patch in your life, don’t be quick to be discouraged. There is Hope in suffering. Not a hope for a better tomorrow. not even a hope for happiness. But in Suffering there is Hope of the Glory of God. Let your suffering remind you that we are living in an imperfect world as imperfect beings. Paul explains that right now we are already standing in grace. In verse 2, Paul uses a present tense to say that we are now standing in grace. And in this grace, we have the Hope of the glory of God. but not only this but even in our suffering because suffering produces endurance and endurance character and character hope. so keep your head up high. There is coming a time when we will be made perfect again. there will come a time when there will be no more suffering but only joy and delight in the presence of God. But in the meantime, when you do suffer and get discouraged and frustrated, be reminded that our frustration is the mark of a believer. We believe that a better day is coming. When the Jesus will usher in the New Heaven and Earth. Until this day, we keep our faith as our strength and we endure our suffering for the glory of God. knowing that this endurance will produce a tested character and through this tested character we keep ourselves grounded in the hope of the glory of God.
