1. Gifts are not everything
   1. What are spiritual gifts?
      1. Different from skills that can be developed (Ephesians 4:7-8; 1 Corinthians 12:11; Romans 12:3)
   2. What is the point of the gifts? (Ephesians 4:12-16)
      1. God has given the gifts to equip the saints for the work of ministry
      2. These gifts are meant to build up the body of Christ by equipping us
      3. These gifts are meant to unite all of us through building up the body of Christ
      4. These gifts are to mature us to the fullness of Christ through unity
      5. These gifts are meant to mature us so that we might not be shaken or deceived
   3. And I will show you a still more excellent way (1 Corinthians 12:31)
      1. Love (1 Corinthians 13:1)
2. Yet we are called to seek the higher gifts (1 Corinthians 12:31)
   1. Why seek the higher gifts?
      1. Higher gifts refers to greater gifts as in greater impact
   2. What are the higher gifts?
      1. !  Corinthians 12:28
3. Each person has a manifestation of the Spirit and ought to use their gift (1 Corinthians 12:7)
   1. How can I tell/discern what is a gift?
      1. What is good, acceptable and perfect (Romans 12:2)
      2. We are quenching the Spirit by not using our gifts
